Holy poo, kids! I feel like I haven't been on livejournal in months - which, in all actuality, is probably true.
It's the summer before I leave for school and I'm trying to enjoy every last minute of it.
I just bought a new laptop and am hoping the windows movie maker works better on this computer. I have plans to start on a new Hitcher fanvid soon, possibly even tonight. I also have high hopes that my writer's block is beginning to fade and I'll be able to crank out a few chapters of a new story soon.
To those of you I used to talk to, I'm sorry I haven't been on in such a long time. I hope you all are doing well and everything is going great for you :)

I finally convinced my muse that it needed to type something after an insanely long period of not writing.
I typed up a first chapter to a Dollhouse fanfiction. You can find it on my fanfiction account.

I was on ebay and I bought a new computer, a laptop - and I'm really excited :)
It's a g3 Apple iMac - remember the old apples that came in different colors?
My question is does anyone know where I can find a cheap copy of Final Cut Pro - the apple video editing software? That's one of the main reasons I looked into buying a mac, and am wondering if I can find a copy of it for less than $100.

I've had it. I tried to defend you, YouTube, I really did. So, some songs are copyrighted and you remove the videos? fine, I can accept that. It's been one or two weeks since the video was uploaded and you want to remove it? even better.
Nope - this time, I'm done. Damn it, I'm straight up pissed.
Back in November of 2008 (November 19, 2008 - to be exact), I created a Sons of Anarchy fanvid and posted it on YouTube. Originally, the fanvid was with the song God's Gonna Cut You Down by Johnny Cash, but after a copyright infringement with the song, I had to change it. That was fine with me, seeing how as YouTube notified me as soon as I uploaded it. I changed the song to Diseased by Seether and went on my merry little way. Months went by and apparently, enough people liked the video I had created. I had around 13-15 reviews, and 6,881 views so far. I was stunned - apparently, I was making SoA fans happy and maybe even getting a few new people to watch the show.
Logging on to my email account today, I saw an email from YouTube concerning that video. No big deal, the song had probably just became copyrighted, right? Wrong. They had completely removed my video from public viewing, citing that it Matched Third Party Content. Thank you for nothing, Fox Networks. I could've probably dealt with YouTube removing the video - had they done it when my video first appeared on the site in November - not waiting over 4 months!!
What's the matter YouTube/Fox Networks? Are you pissed that people are no longer tuning in to watch tv shows? Well, guess what? It's not convinient for people to sit down for an hour and watch a program - nobody has time for that anymore, along with working, taking care of a home, and taking care of family. Get over it - DO NOT take it out on those of us who are doing nothing but promoting the programs. You start penalizing us, and you'll have absolutely no one willing to watch the shows you air - and then you won't have to worry about someone using your copyrighted material on YouTube anymore.

I was feeling very .....giggly today, and decided to do a meme that one of my cousins (who is still in high school) sent me.
Find a playlist of your favorite songs and put it on random. List the first twenty titles with 'In bed' added to the end.

Random song meme I found on a livejournal. It just proves that I have the weirdest taste in music ever.
Step 1: Put your playlist on random.
* Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
* Step 3: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.

My guitar is going to be here Wednesday - thursday, which makes me very happy. The downside to this: the book I ordered to help me learn to play will not be here until Friday, which means that I will have to delay my efforts to become a guitar goddess.

Ownership of the video goes to YouTube user, Sarah1228 - who owns the video, but did not create it. lady_cleo2001 created it.

Random update!
On sunday, I spent $45 dollars on a single DVD and on a boxed TV season. I payed the extra $5 - $10 dollars for the one night shipping, so Amazon.com is saying that the package will be here tuesday (tomorrow). Amazon, I salute you on your low prices. You have lured me into spending all of my money, yet again.
I also got my first credit card on Saturday - a Capital one mastercard. Is it pathetic that I was excited to get it in the mail? I'm 18, and have pretty much been babied/shielded by my parents for my entire life. My mom, however, felt the need to make my brother look over all of the paperwork and check the APR and all of that good stuff. Good to know that my mom thinks of me as an adult who can do things for herself *note the intense sarcasm*
Note for authors/fans: Should I try to work on a Sons of Anarchy fanfiction, or try to start a new Resident Evil fanfic? I've never done an RE fanfic before, so that'd be taking me a little out of my comfort zone.

Wow - 3 weeks. I feel like I haven't been on livejournal, or done anything pertaining to my writing, in such a long time, and it's only been a few weeks.
I've had a few ideas for what I thought would be good stories, but the moment I tried to put my nose to the theoretical grindstone, the ideas vanished. What can I say? My muse is one picky son-of-a-bitch. I think (apparently, my memory was on a sabbatical as well) that I may have promised some of you either fanvideos, or chapters, but right now, I can't come through on those promised. Real life is kind of hectic, and as it always will, Real Life takes priority.
I miss spending time on livejournal - wether it be reading bad!fic sporkings, or reading some of the fics by

So, after a good deal of debating on my part, I decided to take a Sons of Anarchy story that I wrote all of four chapters of, and redo it. I wasn't a big fan of how i wrote it the first time.
This is the first chapter (*cough* the only chapter I've redone so far *cough*) and, as you'll see, I didn't change the storyline - yet. Mainly just added details

About the easiest (and Cheapest) way to do this, would be to create indiviual sites for each character and have them communicate through messages or comments on a site like myspace.
If you are interested in doing this, but don't want to create the myspace site yourself, I can absolutely do this for you by creating a yahoo email account and using that for the myspace account. From there, I'd pass the site off to you to fine-tune and adjust to your liking. I'm a huge fan of rp, so I'd have no problem helping someone out.
Again, let me know.

Random fact 1: I've never been into the whole One Tree Hill phenomenon(sp?), but for some reason, I decided to watch it tonight. Mainly, I just wanted to see some of Sophia Bush's work after seeing her in The Hitcher. I kinda like the show, this season at least.
Question: Does anyone make LJ layouts, or know someone who does? I've been looking for a simple layout that is different from the ones offered for basic accounts - but somehow, when I find one I like, I manage to screw it up or screw up installing it.
